Puffer Coat

The puffer coat is a huge trend this year. The update to it from years past is to make it long, minimal and in a neutral color. Long coats are really the silhouette this year. They look easy and sophisticated. Since the puffer is for the coldest days a longer cut will also keep you even warmer. The last thing to think about is the bigger the better. You want a puffer to be really oversized and even an exaggerated silhouette.

Full Length Wool Coat

Wool coats are a classic item that don’t seem like anything new but they are really popular this season. Like the puffer, its all about the silhouette with this one. Think long and past the knee for the most current look. These look good over your workwear or dressier looks. You can stay classic with a more slim or fitted silhouette. For a more updated look, think oversized!

Coatigan

While this is definitely not for the coldest days, a coatigan is one of my favorite pieces. You can wear them as a topper for an outfit and keep them on the whole time. Or they can be treated like a coat and just worn when needed. Either way, the coatigan looks like a cross between a coat and a long cardigan. It typically feels like your favorite knitwear.
