At the end of the month I’ll be spending almost two weeks in France. Every since the plans began for this trip I’ve been planning my outfits for the trip. Packing can be stressful having some inspiration for outfits and different looks can make it easier. As with most things, it is easier to pack with a plan. I have been saving outfit inspiration pics on my phone. I want breezy, easy but beautiful outfits for exploring, wine tasting and enjoying the beach. In today’s post, I am sharing some of the inspiration and what to pack for France in the Summer.
What to Pack for France in the Summer
I’ll be sharing soon on how I pack in a carryon for a long trip but it all starts with outfit inspiration and finding pieces that mix and match. For my current France packing list I want to wear pretty easy dresses, neutral separates and matching sets. These pieces are all things I would recommend on what to pack for France.
There is so much to do and see in Paris. I have shared a few things here but will have an updated Post when I get back.
Neutral Separates
Like any good wardrobe, a great packing list starts with neutrals. For a Summer France packing list I want light neutrals in white, creams and camels with just a little black mixed in. Starting with white denim shorts, linen pants and a white t-shirt and button down. Then add in a few neutral tanks and another pair of linen pants.
Matching Sets
Not only are they a huge trend but matching sets are great pieces to pack. They mix and match and can be worn with each other. Stripes, blues and pretty patterns all feel France inspired and pretty for Summer. For the South of France, I love a short and top set to wear exploring the beautiful towns or as a swimsuit coverup. A pants set can still work for a French Summer if the fabric is light and the cut isn’t too tight.
Summer Dresses
The easiest, and in my opinion most fun to wear, item on vacation is a dress. In one piece you have a complete outfit. Some simple sun dresses can be worn with sandals or tennis shoes for a day of exploring and sightseeing. In the evening, wear them to dinner with flats or even a heeled sandal.
Another great dress silhouette is a slip dress. While it definitely can be a sexy cut, in a floral or soft color it also works for daytime or more casual moments. The cut is really flattering on most body types. And while it is fitted, it is not tight or uncomfortable. Great for the Summer heat.
