Last week on Instagram (follow me here) I asked what everyone was shopping for right now and the majority said Spring tops. That’s always what I’ve been browsing as I’ve looked thru my favorite brand’s Spring arrivals. Like any year, florals are everywhere! I love the bright, almost neon floral prints that I’ve seen. They create a big impact!

Each new season I think we all want to refresh our wardrobe. This doesn’t require a whole new closet, many times just a few new pieces will do the trick! Focus on only adding items you love that integrate with what you currently own. Buy pieces that you like and not just because they are new and trendy. There are plenty of trends that I love but so many that just aren’t my style. I also like to remember to buy classic items too. Then you’ll create a wardrobe you love but still feels current.
Spring Top Styles
There is something about chambray tops and white jeans that will always feel fresh to me. So I had to include a couple options in any round up of spring tops. I wear my white jeans year round but I wear them weekly during the warmer months. I even bought a distressed pair this year (see here). This chambray faux wrap top is on the top of my list to purchase and wear with white denim. I love how the flowy sleeves and ruffles make such a statement.
Smocking is everywhere! I’ve seen it on tops, dresses, skirts and accessories. I think part of the reason it is currently so trendy is how comfortable it is. After the last year of wearing sweats and athleisure we don’t want to lose the comfort factor when we actually do dress up. This black smocked top will look beautiful dressed up. Personally, I want to wear it with distressed jean shorts and these sandals. I like the mixture of dressy and casual.
