This week’s theme on the blog is hair! Earlier this week I talked about how to get rid of build up and take care of your scalp in this post.   Although it didn’t start my love, Gossip Girl really fueled my obsession with hair accessories.  I always seem to be picking up a new headband or ponytail holder to spice up my hairstyles. Great hair accessories don’t have to be expensive, so in this post I’m sharing the best Hair accessories under $50.

Headbands

If you follow me on instagram you may have seen the black knotted headband that I wear at least once a week. I love that hair accessories, especially headbands, are having such a moment right now! It is hard for me to keep from buying every headband I see. Headbands can not only cover up a a bad hair day but they can really pull together an outfit. I love how a simple or neutral outfit can look elevated with a statement headband.

Ponytail Holders

Ponytails aren’t only for gym time or as a hairstyle last resort. With the right styling a ponytail can be an intentional hairstyle that is chic and elevated. Sleek ponytails are a big trend and they can be really set off with a pretty ponytail holder. There are so many styles too. The simple modern & embellished ponytail holders work especially great for an evening hairstyle.

Pretty floral scrunchies and ones with bows and tails can elevate a more casual ponytail. I also love when they are used to tie off a pretty braid.

Hair Clips

Personally, I think hair clips are the most fun hair accessories. Probably because you can do the most with them and change your hairstyle the most. Clips can pull your hair to the side, pull half up or all of it up. The 90’s claw clip trend is huge right now. They are so easy to use and a great way to get your hair out of your face. Many brands are updating the clips with pearls, sparkles and other embellishments.
