 The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid 

Another great book by the same author that wrote Daisy Jones & The Six. A legendary film actress looks back on her her life. She recollects her rise in her career and what was happening in her social life during the time. Just when you think you know where the story is going, you can expect another turn! Grade: A

How Could She: A Novel by Lauren Mechling 

I’m always a fan of books that can reflect the complexity of female friendship and still have some humor. This novel tells the story of 3 friends and the changes in their lives. Some are struggling and others seem to have everything in their life together but that is not always the case. This one moves at a bit of a slower pace. Grade: C+

All the Missing Girls by Megan Miranda 

Two women have gone missing, a decade apart. Told in reverse, this story starts at Day 15 to Day 1, when the latest girl has gone missing. Nicolette left her sleepy rural town after her friend went missing 10 years ago and she is back to take care of her father. The twists and turns bring Nicolette into the investigation of the latest missing girl. This is a classic page turner and one of those books you’ll stay up late to find out what happened. Grade: A – 

Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Sample 
Depending on who you ask, Bernadette can be described as an opinionated, strong wife, loving and doting mother, radical architect and eclectic woman. Then Bernadette disappears and everything changes. Some of the truth behind her facade and issues comes to light. Her daughter compiles information to find where she may be and it reveals even more about a mother and daughter’s relationship. Grade: B
 
 
American Royals by Katharine McGee
What if America had a royal family? This book reimagines history and George Washington became king and not president. In present day, his ancestors are still the American Royals. The three youngest members of the royal family have come of age and being royal doesn’t take away any challenges. Princess Beatrice is preparing herself to become Queen and the life of duty that comes with of it. Twins, Jefferson and Samantha, have their own challenges. Samantha is in love with the boy that is off-limits. Jefferson copes with the have that a generation before he would have been in line to rule, but now with the new line of succession he is third in line and has 2 women vying for his attention. The first of a series, this book had me sad that the next one doesn’t come out til later this year. Grade: A
