The gold dipped trend inspired my first spray paint project. I took inspiration from the pictures above and decided to paint my desk. After lightly sanding my desk, I sprayed three coats of light pink spray paint. I waited 48 hours before taping off the legs and spraying the bottom gold. Once it had completely dried, I used a wax sealer and then let it set for a few days. I’m still searching for the perfect handles!
My second project was a little simpler. Five or six thin coats of black spray paint completely changed the look of my bedside lamps. Once the paint was dry I added some trim to the lampshades to complete the look. I don’t keep the lamps on for extended periods of time, so a glue gun was sufficient to use to attach the ribbon. If I used the lamps more, I would be afraid the hot glue would melt.
