Wedding season is in full swing and as Spring and Summer come along the invitations have piled up. In today’s post I am sharing some of the best wedding guest dresses. I have put them in options by dress code. Whatever the formality of the wedding, there is a chic option for you in my picks below.
Spring Wedding Guest Dresses
Black Tie Optional
The dress code of Black Tie Optional sometimes confuses people. What it basically means is that the wedding party will be in black tie dress code and you are welcome to do the same but it is optional. If you don’t dress as formal as black tie then definitely go with a more formal cocktail dress. Black tie is usually formal tuxes for men and floor length gowns for women. If you don’t know exactly where to go with this dress code, I suggest a more formal midi length dress as it is a happy medium on formality.
For the dresses below I pulled together a mixture of a bit more formal floor length gowns but also have some shorter options too. If this is the dress code you are looking at but don’t want floor length look at the cocktail dresses below and pick a more formal one.
Cocktail Dresses
Cocktail attire is probably my favorite dress code because I think you can have a bit more fun with it. It basically means a semi-formal dress. It can be short or midi length. A long dress is typically a bit too formal for cocktail attire but there are some exceptions.
In my opinion cocktail dresses are one of the most fun options to shop for. You can really show off your style with these dresses. There are so many different possibilities with prints, fabrics, colors etc.
Casual Dresses
Some weddings are on the more casual side but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a stylish dress. These dresses fit for a casual wedding and you can even wear flat sandals with some if you want to make it even more casual.
Complete the Look
The perfect shoes and accessories really do complete the look. Below I have great shoe, jewelry and bag picks for all of the dresses above.
