Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite holiday! I think I love it because it centers spending time with people and food! Whether you have family or friends that you are spending time with, it is such a great day. I am especially lucky that one side of my family celebrates a few days early so I get two big days of celebrations and two outfits to plan!
Comfortable but Dressy Looks
Even when I am dressed up, comfort is a must on Thanksgiving! There is too much stuffing and pie to be eaten so I can’t worry about uncomfortable or restricting clothing. This sweater dress is a favorite of mine, comes in tons of colors and is under $50! I’m tempted to buy a few other colors!
For the other dressy outfit, I focused on some basics we all have and just elevated them a bit. Sweater, jeans and booties is a classic uniform that you can do 100s of different ways. A great tip is wearing black denim always dresses up an outfit a little more than blue denim. It also makes the color of this puff sleeve sweater pop!

Neutral Casual Looks
I can’t put together Thanksgiving outfit ideas without including some casual and comfy ones. If your family keeps it casual then I hope these outfits inspire you. I like to keep things polished when I do casual so that I still look put together. And without even really thinking I pulled these outfits with all neutrals. If you read this post you know I am really all about the neutrals this season. All neutral outfits also lend themselves to look polished, even if they are casual items. And if you want some more color, many of these items come in colorful options.

The first outfit is all about the sherpa shacket. I have it in a medium and the fit is a bit oversized, size down if you don’t want it as oversized. With the jacket, I put basics that many of us probably have: a soft black turleneck, this one is a body suit, jeans and some glittery tennis shoes!
The second casual Thanksgiving outfit idea has my favorite fall item: faux leather leggings. I will always speak their praises because of their versatility and how they can elevate any outfit! For Thanksgiving they are the super comfortable way to look chic! You can put them with tons of sweaters and tops. I love this long cardigan! It can be worn both open and buttoned.
